Luso Farmhouse East Garafraxa, ON

This contemporary farmhouse was developed as a weekend retreat and hobby farm for a wealthy business owner and his young family. The three-story main building consists of 850m² of living space and contains a chef-styled kitchen, large living and dining rooms, and four bedrooms with ensuite washrooms. Since this property will be used for entertaining, the pond view level contains a home theatre, games and fitness rooms, an Olympic-sized indoor-outdoor swimming pool, and a fully stocked wine cellar. The house and outbuildings had to conform to the guidelines set out in the Grand Valley Conservation Authority and needed to blend into the landscape. Out buildings consisted of a three-bedroom guest house and spa pavilion connected to the main house by an underground tunnel.
