I-Vision Toronto, ON

Developed the current branding for `I Vision` Optical, a mid-range optical retail chain with locations in the Greater Toronto Area. The interior was treated very graphically, utilizing eyewear images and slogans that became wall and screen patterns forming the backdrop for the merchandise. Store layout, custom millwork and specialty lighting were developed creating a special retail experience that allowed the intimate examination of the product. The act of looking became the design concept that drove the articulation of the storefront as a series of frames and portals and was carried out into the interior with a play of mirrors and one two way screens. The millwork, interior fixtures, furniture and signage formed a kit of parts that was used in three other locations. Each store was modified to be site specific while carrying out the new branding of ‘I Vision’.
